These drills are designed with a heavy duty web and are recommended for drilling steel forgings, tough alloy steels and other difficutlt to machine materials. The shanks are tanged and may be used in A.S.A. split sleeve drill drivers. The flute length is longer for deeper hosles and more regrinds. Drill diameters over 19/64" have reduced shanks.
